Vicodin addiction along with Vicodin withdrawal here at Narconon Arrowhead’s Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center is handled in much the same way that we handle withdrawal from all other addictive substances. We offer a totally drug-free Vicodin withdrawal program. Our Vicodin withdrawal philosophy is that we do not believe that other drugs should be used to detox a person off of Vicodin, or any other prescription / street drug. This is basically replacing one drug for another.

Our Vicodin withdrawal program uses a regimen of vitamins and mineral supplements, along with special techniques to help ease the mental and physical symptoms of Vicodin withdrawal while coming off of Vicodin. We also provide an ample supply of healthy food and drink (i.e. water, various juices) and fresh vegetables. A special drink that contains Calcium and Magnesium is also used during the Vicodin withdrawal process; this helps deal with muscle aches and pains that may be occurring while the Vicodin withdrawal process is occurring. These are all available 24/7 for the Vicodin withdrawal students to enjoy.

The Vicodin withdrawal students are kept busy while they are awake, by delivering processes to them that extrovert their minds, so that they are not stuck in their heads thinking about how bad they feel, or being home sick, etc… Also, during our Vicodin withdrawal program, and throughout the entire program, we offer special assists processes, that help to relieve and heal the body, thus lessening the effects of Vicodin withdrawal. This goes a long way in eliminating the need for pain medication such as Vicodin. The assist processes are somewhat similar to a massage. The purpose of this is to get a person into communication with their body, and allow it to heal itself.

As soon as a student is no longer feeling the effects from Vicodin withdrawal and their sleeping patterns are more normal and they can be productive throughout the day, their Vicodin withdrawal is over and they are then allowed to start our program. Early on, they enter our Sauna program, which will eliminate all toxins, including drug residues from their body, once it is complete. This is done by using a dry Sauna’s along with a special regimen of vitamins and minerals that allow the sweat process to cleanse the body’s tissues of toxins it has taken on over the years, including drug residues that can help lead to relapse. Many of our students have stated that this process has freed them from the pain that originally lead them to Vicodin addiction or other drug addictions in the first place!

Vicodin or other pain relievers do nothing more than mask over the real problem(s) that a person is going through. Without handling the underlying cause of the problem(s) that led to the Vicodin addiction, the solution is just temporary at best. This is why we heal both the mind and the body, since both must be rehabilitated for a person to be happy and successful. After completing the Sauna program, many people state that they fill like they did when they were much younger!

At this point, the students mind and body’s are completely drug and toxin free and ready to fully begin the process of rehabilitating themselves back to a happy and productive member of one’s family and society. Freedom from Vicodin Addiction is possible!
